Emerald Isle trip

This past week was our annual beach trip to Emerald Isle with Matt's family.  We just got back today and it was a fun-filled week.  It was very safe to say that Chase had a great time.  Here he is, chillin' by the pool:

I love the house we stay in each summer.  It's right on the water and there's a big screened-in porch over-looking the sound with lots of chairs for everyone to sit in.  Chase was a very happy boy who got lots of attention from everyone.

He loved sitting out on the porch and had many people who were more than happy to read to him or play with him.  Here he is curled up with Bebe and Pops, reading the Berenstain Bears.

Chase even got a few music lessons from Lanny.

Another little person who got some attention was miss Emily who is just 2 months old.  Here's Allyson spoiling her sweet little neice:

Matt's uncle Gordon took us out on his boat one day.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous and Chase did great.  (As long as he sat in my lap and he felt both of my hands on him, he was ok.)

Another highlight of the week was playing Putt-putt and riding go carts.

Looks like Matt was pretty excited about the go cart ride as well...

I wish I could've gotten a closer shot of them riding because Chase had a HUGE grin on his face every time they came around this turn.

The next day we hit up the aquarium where Chase loved seeing all the fish, turtles, sharks, etc.

There was an outdoor exhibit (Chase called it an 'evisit', which cracked me up).

One of the last nights we walked out on the dock and Betty Ann took a couple pictures of the three of us.  This was the best we could do.  Chase wasn't too into looking at the camera.

We were sad for the week to end....Now back to reality....(Sigh).
