Day out with Thomas 2012

This past weekend we went with Matt's parents, sister, and Chase's favorite friend Garrett to Boone for the "Day out with Thomas" event at Tweetsie Railroad.  We stayed in a house that was very much what Chase kept calling a "Mountain House", complete with a hot tub, fire pit, large front and back porch.  It also had a creek in the back yard an playground next door.  There was nothing else in the world that Chase needed.  Here was the gorgeous view from the back porch:

The weather was absolutely gorgeous with no humidity at all.  Man, I love the NC mountains.

 

For the 2nd year in a row, Thomas definitely didn't disappoint. Neither did this guy:

 Tweetsie really is everything any little boy would want.  And even plenty of things to entertain us adults.

Chase enjoyed every last bit of Tweetsie...

 ...Well. Except for the loud noise of the train.  We discovered after it was too late that we probably should've chosen a seat closer to the middle or back of the train.

  

He enjoyed watching the Cowboys and Indians...

...And REALLY enjoyed the rides.  Here he is 'driving' a plane and waving to his fan club:

We had a great time and probably wouldn't have been able to convince Chase to leave had the place not been shutting down.
